Graduate Consultant

The Role

This is a full-time, entry-level role based in Brisbane, with some flexibility for remote work as you build experience. You'll start out working closely alongside our senior consultants, who will train and mentor you as you develop into a capable consultant in your own right.

Under guidance, and with increasing independence as your skills grow, you'll get hands-on experience across a broad range of occupational hygiene projects, including:

  • Asbestos fibre monitoring and fibre counting
  • Conducting indoor air quality and mould assessments
  • Assisting with asbestos and HAZMAT surveys
  • Site attendance and the collection of samples, including asbestos, lead, mould laboratory samples
  • Technical report writing, with support to build it to a high standard
  • Timely QA and submission of reports

We'll also support you to obtain your Asbestos Assessor Licence (LAA) and other relevant certifications as you progress.

About You

We're looking for someone at the start of their career who is eager to learn and reliable. You don't need years of experience — we'll teach you the technical skills. What matters most is the right attitude and a willingness to get stuck in.

You'll likely have, or be close to having:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Occupational Hygiene, Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related discipline (recent graduates and final-year students welcome to apply).
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, with a willingness to develop your technical report writing.
  • A keenness to learn, ask questions, and develop your skills on the job.
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical, careful approach to your work.
  • Punctuality, reliability, and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • An interest in fieldwork and the practical, hands-on side of the role.
  • A willingness to learn to use industry-leading occupational hygiene and monitoring equipment (full training provided).
  • A current driver's licence and a willingness to travel to project sites locally, and occasionally interstate.

Any prior exposure to occupational hygiene, asbestos, or laboratory work — whether through study, placements, or work experience — is a bonus, but it's not essential.

What We Offer

  • A competitive starting salary.
  • Structured training and mentoring from some of Queensland's most experienced occupational hygiene consultants.
  • Support to obtain your Asbestos Assessor Licence (LAA) and other industry certifications.
  • A clear pathway for career development and progression.
  • A friendly, supportive team environment where you're set up to succeed.
